A JOURNEY OF RESTORATION
A journey of restoration, research, and revelation - returning to the original language of Scripture.
Explore the living language of creation
All honor, praise, and glory to Yah, the Most High : the Source of all wisdom, understanding, and truth.
This work is dedicated to Yah, whose Spirit has guided every letter, every word, and every revelation within this dictionary. May it serve as a light to those seeking to return to the pure language of creation: the language that connects us back to the covenant, the culture, and the Kingdom of our Elohim.
To the community of learners, teachers, and seekers who have joined through the Institute of Paleo-Hebrew Research & Culture, thank you for your commitment to truth and your role in building Yah's Kingdom.

In 2008, the Most High, Yah, began leading Founder and Executive Director, DurYah, into a deeper exploration of the ancient world: its people, its languages, and its hidden patterns.
What began as a personal pursuit of understanding grew into years of dedicated research across multiple linguistic traditions, including Paleo-Hebrew, Arabic, English, Modern Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and Sumerian.

Through studying etymology, historical connections, and linguistic structures, a deeper realization emerged: language is not just communication - it is identity, memory, and revelation.
This journey was not driven by curiosity alone, but by a calling - to share knowledge, restore understanding, and help others draw closer to the Creator through His original language.
The Paleo-Hebrew Dictionary is a growing and living educational resource designed to restore understanding of the original language spoken and written by the Hebrew ancestors.
Unlike Modern Hebrew, which developed later through the Masoretic tradition with added vowel and cantillation marks, Paleo-Hebrew is rooted in a breath-based, consonantal system - where meaning is embedded within the letters themselves.
Each entry within this dictionary is more than a definition - it is a doorway into:
The Paleo-Hebrew Dictionary was created with a clear and divine purpose - to restore clarity to the original language of Scripture.
In a world where meaning has often been diluted through translation and tradition, this work seeks to:
Before the Babylonian exile, the people of Yasharaal wrote in Paleo-Hebrew - the original script of the Hebrew language.
Each letter carried pictographic meaning, expressing not only sound but concept, action, and identity.
Following exile, the adoption of Aramaic square script gradually replaced this ancient form, and over time, much of the original symbolic depth became obscured.
Language preserves identity.
And restoring the language helps restore the people.
- ZEPHANIAH 3:9
The creation of this dictionary has been both a scholarly pursuit and a Spirit-led journey. This work reflects a deliberate balance between rigorous academic discipline and deep spiritual discernment.
Rigorous comparative linguistic analysis across Hebrew, Arabic, Greek, Latin, and Sumerian to verify meaning and track the etymological evolution of foundational words.
Careful examination of ancient inscriptions, early Semitic scripts, and historical documentation to reconstruct the cultural and scriptural realities of the ancient world.
Aligning study with biblical texts and spiritual discernment to uncover the covenant identity embedded within the pictographic structure of each original word.

The Institute exists to study, preserve, and restore the original Paleo-Hebrew language and its cultural context.
Through research, education, and publication, the Institute equips:
With tools to understand Scripture as it was originally written and lived.
